At Morgan’s Mobile Rabbit Ranch we raise every bun as part of our family – even those that will end up being food. They are brought up to be resilient, brave, and sweet, through a careful balance of trusting our mother does’ process of kit rearing and some principles from puppy culture. They are exposed to the other household members (fellow buns, humans, large dogs, and cats) and are experienced travelers by the time they are old enough to hop out of the nest. They are litter box trained from the start, and will urinate in the designated locations, but be aware that even the most well-trained rabbit will leave behind the occasional bunny berries – it is an anatomical feature. Our bunnies are happy and loved from their first day with us to their last. If you are here as a potential pet owner, or have moral qualms about raising animals for food, please visit the “Friend vs. Food Dilemma” section on our About page. I personally believe even vegans can support our ranch’s purpose, with a little bit of background info.
